The Sokol story started over 125 years ago. The year 1895, to be exact.

This was the year John A. Sokol, a young Czech immigrant, decided he was hungry for more. Through determination and a positive outlook, John worked his way up from being a grocer’s apprentice to opening his own store. Then, he opened two more.

John would not stop there. At the turn of the century, he moved into wholesale. Shortly after that, he began grinding spices and manufacturing foods at his own facility—constantly pivoting to better serve his public. The U.S. was a land of riches after all, and the opportunities were far greater than one could’ve ever imagined.

John’s mindset of “if there is a will, there is a way” is one Sokol has carried throughout the many generations of unwavering commitment to success. After six monumental generations, our family business continues to grow. We’ve expanded our manufacturing and R&D facilities into state-of-the-art innovation centers. But one thing never changes.
